Какой ассоциацией я прелестно-цедровый Eau D`Orange Verte Hermes рефлекторно обзываю "эпилептическим"?..

...и зачем мне Alpona вдруг в духах в 10 вечера в ночи, дома, под пледом?

Жара и любопытство|Heat and curiosity

This fierce heat is killing. The only thing you can do in this heat - to sit up to necks in water/ stand under a cold shower/ swim in a pool or in a lake. We drink water with wine and ice (about 1 part of wine to 5 parts of water and ice at pleasure) a homemade mojito (lime juice, chopped mint, "Sprite", ice and lemon), apple juice with lime juice, and everything that is stored in the ice-box. Shower, cool bath. Mint mask from Lush and their tonic-sprays...

All this is of little help, of course - but the weather prediction for next two week is not promising anything but even more heat. However, my perfumes curiosity cannot be murdered even by that weather. I try many things that are coming to hand: novelties and not too new smells; what I have read and completely random. Below is an experiences over the past week report.

Profumo by Aqua di Parma is an magnificent chypre. In the middle and in the drydown it is similar to Mitsouko, in the opening is a more water-and-white-floral, slightly scunky-indolic. In contrast with Mitsouko, there is no peaches in Profumo, their place took something like a mimosa. At blotter Profumo has an additional stage, which is not present on my skin, it is somewhere beyond the base: cream-powder-vanilla. On my skin it ends mossy-vetiver-spices notes.

A Taste of Heaven by Kilian is an illustration of the concept of "the art of selling". Bottles, design of corner, recipes - all this is very chic. Prices correspond to the design. The juice is rather ordinary, popular and mass and mimetic. A Taste of Heaven promised green absinthe, however, "absinthe green" is bittersweet wormwood and herbal semi-notes in first 2-3 minutes, and then - the endless lavender, lavender with orris, lavender and a bit of vanilla ... and we know that lavender, this idea: Gris Clair of Serge Lutens and he had before.

Black Cashmere by Donna Karan - woody-balsamic, in the first few minutes of opening is not very pleasant due to the initial volume of notes in which each component seeks to assert themselves and outtalk others loudly ("American style"), initially is pretentious to be "unusual" (for those whose submission of an originality is extremely limited), but gradually growing in nice, comfortable warm woody balsamic scent.

Collezione Privata Blu di Provenza by Pal Zileri - if you can wait out the first half hour, in which different “chemistry” is raging on the skin, it becomes more beautiful. Very long lavender, which is dancing with citrus (many of long-lasting citruses in the middle – what a good and nonstandard  idea!), then with vetiver, cedarwood, musk, and each pair is quite good.

Infusion de Tubereuse by Prada - another representative of an posse, in which main goal is to wait through top notes. At the opening Infusion de Tubereuse gives one of the nastiest tuberose that I know: coconut-full, indol-free buttery cheap tuberose. In the further opening it gradually moves from the butter oil to the fresh, light scent of clean freshly washed clothes, young body after a shower, to an evening in a park with fountains…

Oriental Edition II by Angel Schlesser is simply stunning in its sincere and naive repetition of other scent: Visa by Robert Piguet, with a slight accents of Private Blend by Tom Ford. Done very well and three times cheaper, stable, long and beautiful... now just needful to those who are not familiar with Visa or just are so crazy for the idea that are interested in all versions of it.

Погода невыносима. Единственное, что можно делать в такую жару – сидеть по шею в воде, стоять под холодным душем, плавать в бассейне или в озере. Мы пьем воду с вином и льдом (примерно 1 часть вина на 5 частей воды, лед по вкусу), самодельный мохито (сок лайма, резаная мята, Спрайт, лед, лимон), яблочный сок с соком лайма, и вообще все, что хранится в холодильнике. Душ, прохладная ванна. Мятные маски от Lush и их же тоники-спреи...

Все это мало помогает, конечно - а прогноз не обещает ничего, кроме еще большей жары. Однако, парфюмерное любопытство не может убить и эта погода. Я пробую многое из того, что подворачивается под руку, новинки и не слишком новые запахи, то, о чем я читала и совершенно наугад. Ниже отчет о впечатлениях за последнюю неделю.

Profumo от Aqua di Parma – великолепный шипр. В середине раскрытия и в базе он схож с Mitsouko, в начале более водный и бело-цветочный, слегка грязновато-индольный. В отличие от Mitsouko, персиков в Profumo нет, их место занимает что-то, похожее на мимозу. На блоттере у Profumo есть та стадия, которая совершенно не слышна на коже, уже где-то за базой: кремово-пудрово-ванильная. На коже все заканчивается мшисто-ветиверно-специевыми нотами.

A Taste of Heaven by Kilian – это иллюстрация к понятию «искусство продавать». Флаконы, оформление корнера, рецепты – все исключительно шикарно. Цены соответствуют оформлению. Содержимое же достаточно ординарно, популярно-массово и к тому же вторично. A Taste of Heaven обещает зеленый абсент, однако, «зеленого абсента» - сладко-горьких условно-полынных нот в нем первые 2-3 минуты, а дальше – бесконечная лаванда, лаванда и ирис, лаванда и немножко ванили... и мы знаем эту лаванду, эту идею: Gris Clair Лютана, и Лютан успел раньше.

Black Cashmere от Donna Karan – древесно-бальзамический, в первые минуты не слишком приятный за счет громкости начальных нот, в которых каждый компонент стремится заявить о себе громче прочих («американский стиль»), поначалу претенциозно-«нестандартный» (для тех, чьи представления об оригинальном крайне ограничены) но постепенно развивающийся в милый, комфортный тепло-древесный аромат.

Collezione Privata Blu di Provenza от Pal Zileri – если переждать первые полчаса, в которые на коже бесится, испаряясь, различная препротивная химия, то дальше делается красиво. Очень долгая лаванда, с которой по очереди танцуют цитрусы (долгие цитрусы в середине – это хорошая идея), ветивер, кедр, мускусы, и каждая пара вполне хороша.

Infusion de Tubereuse от Prada – еще один представитель компании, в которой главное –пережить начало. В старте Infusion de Tubereuse выдает одну из самых противных из известных мне кокосово-безиндольных сливочно-масляных дешевых тубероз. В дальнейшем развитии обнаруживается постепенно двигающийся от этого масла к свежему, легкому запаху чистой свежевыстиранной одежды, юного тела после душа, вечера в парке с фонтанами.

Oriental Edition II от Angel Schlesser – просто потрясающий в прямоте и простодушном повторении аромат: Visa Robert Piguet, с легким акцентом Private Blend Тома Форда. Сделан очень хорошо, стоит втрое дешевле, стойкий, долго и красиво раскрывается... вот только нужен он тем, кто не знаком с Visa или так любит саму идею, что интересуется ей в любых исполнениях.

Eau Demoiselle Givenchy & Esprit de Gingembre Pour Femme Angel Schlesser (en|ru)

Eau Demoiselle (Givenchy)

At first, let me tell a few about bottle. It looks wonderful on posters but if you touch it you'd find it cheap by the feel.. It is too cheap to be old-fashioned and too ordinary to be precious. It should be made of heavy glass with a heavy metal/glassy cap or even the plastic cap but not such furniture-fittings-alike. The bottle is too lightweight, too... ordinary to fit a girl from 18xx. For example, remember Eau Savage and its great simplicity! Even the last bottle of Ysatis is more elegant.

As for the scent – it is too sweet and synthetic in the beginning and more fresh but too boring later. In its heart Eau Demoiselle is a real clone of “Rozovaya voda” (Rose Water) lotion from my childhood, which really had nothing in common with roses except for its bubble-gum pink color.

Its musky base is not so loud and “fresh-n-clean” as in other new cologne-like perfumes; it is calm, soft and well-balanced.

Fresh but flowery, Eau Demoiselle is ideal for young girls – but young girls prefer heavy sexy perfumes of their mothers. May be it is EdT for girls taking a walk with their moms.

Light, nice and boring.

Начнем с флакона. На рекламных плакатах он выглядит просто замечательно, но возьмешь в руки - и ощущаешь дешевку. Для старомодного флакон слишком бедный. Его бы из тяжелого стекла, с увесистой металлической или стеклянной крышечкой, да хоть с пластиковой, но не с такой же... мебельной фурнитурой. Для девицы из 19 века флакон слишком легковесный и заурядный. Это вам не классическая простота Eau Savage, и даже не современный флакон Ysatis.

Аромат – ну... вначале что-то слишком сладкое и синтетическое, потом более свежее – и более скучное. В нотах сердца Eau Demoiselle – это, держись все живое, один в один кошмар моего детства, "Розовая вода" (где к розе имел отношение только цвет взбесившейся жвачки).

База – мускусная, но не столь блещущая "чистотой и свежестью", как в других современных одеколоноподобных ароматах: мягкая, тихая и хорошо уравновешенная.

Цветочная, но свеженькая Eau Demoiselle словно бы создана для юных девочек, но вот беда: большинство известных мне юных девочек предпочитают мощные сексуальные запахи, которые тащат у зрелых матушек. Видимо, Eau Demoiselle - такая туалетная вода для девочек, прогуливающихся под присмотром родительниц.

Легкая, милая, скучная...

Esprit de Gingembre Pour Femme Angel Schlesser

As against Eau Demoiselle Esprit de Gingembre is too cheap, poor and charmless in its beginning. It is a poor apology of 4711 Original Eau de Cologne – much more synthetic, loud and rough. But in its evolution Esprit de Gingembre turns to a nice, sharp, fresh and attractive side. Ginger, tangerine and bergamot are combat proven combination, Natalie Lorson knows what to do with pepper and Esprit de Gingembre has a touch of oakmoss in its base. Not enough to be chypre, but enough to balance the “white musks". Musks are even quieter than in Eau Demoiselle. Esprit de Gingembre is less feminine and more cologne-like.

Not my piece of happiness but pleasant enough.

В противоположность Eau Demoiselle, шлессеровский Esprit de Gingembre поначалу кажется бедным, скудным и лишенным всякого обаяния. Этакое плохое подражание 4711 Original Eau de Cologne  - куда более синтетическое и грубое. Но в развитии Esprit de Gingembre поворачивается другой стороной – приятной свеже-пряной, вполне привлекательной. Имбирь, тангерин и бергамот - беспроигрышное сочетание, а как обращаться с перцем, Натали Лорсон знает. К тому же в Esprit de Gingembre есть малая толика мха в базе. На шипр не тянет, но белые мускусы уравновешиваются неплохо - кстати, они там еще тише, чем в Eau Demoiselle. Esprit de Gingembre менее феминный и больше похож на одеколон.

Не в моем вкусе, но достаточно мило.
